Tricia Helfer Cast as Lead in Erotic Body Horror Film Devour

Tricia Helfer has been cast in the lead role of Devour, an erotic body horror film, The Hollywood Reporter reported on Monday, 26 October 2026.
Body horror is a genre where the human body itself becomes the source of dread, often through strange change or transformation. Erotic body horror mixes that unease with desire, so the relationships at the centre of the story carry as much weight as the scares.
The film is directed and written by Erica Orofino. In it, Helfer plays Luisa, a former professional figure skater who becomes fixated on her daughter's friend. That friend, Karla, is played by Georgia Bradner. Elizabeth Adams plays Elia, Luisa's daughter.
Matt Code, Alison Almeida and Lucy McNulty are producers on the project. Todd Brown, Kiersten Hanly, Emily O'Quinn Code, Mike Chapman and Fatima Hayward are executive producers, the credit usually given to people who help secure money and deals rather than run the day-to-day shoot. Wildling Pictures is also listed as a producer.
On the business side, Blue Finch Films is handling worldwide sales for Devour, excluding Canada. A sales company finds buyers for a film in each territory, the countries or regions where it can be shown, whether cinemas, streaming services or television channels. Canada is not part of that deal, so the film's Canadian rights are being handled separately.
Casting a lead is often one of the first public steps for an independent project. It gives sales teams and buyers a name to pitch alongside the story, and it signals that a film has moved from paperwork into production. Helfer's casting now puts a recognisable face at the centre of Orofino's film, which is the kind of move that tends to draw early attention from the market.
