Meg Stalter performed songs from Crave, her debut album, at the Grindr Pleasure Ball in Manhattan on Oct. 22. She took the stage in an astronaut suit, according to Billboard, which reported the performance and spoke with her backstage beforehand.

Crave is her first full-length album, the collection of songs that introduces a artist to listeners as a complete body of work rather than a single track. At the party she sang "Prettiest Girl in America," "Famous Me," "Gay" and other songs from the record.

The Pleasure Ball was an invite-only party with a science fiction theme. Guests included Adam Lambert, Dominique Jackson, Christian Siriano, Susanne Bartsch, Joey Arias and Anna Delvey. The night also held a Halloween costume contest, hosted by Dashaun Wesley. Bartsch, Siriano, Kelly Cutrone and Grindr's Tristan Pineiro served as the judges.

The set was not Stalter's first time singing live in front of a crowd this year. She made her live musical debut at the WeHo Pride Street Fair in June. Earlier in the summer she was also on Broadway, starring in Oh, Mary! from July through September.

The mix of a Broadway run, a pride street fair and a late-October party shows how a performer can move between very different rooms in a single season. For fans who followed her from the stage play, the album is a new way to hear her work outside the theatre.

Stalter's appearance was one of the evening's main draws, and the party's guest list drew attention from the fashion and nightlife worlds as well as from pop music.
