The Gilded Age returns on Sunday, November 1, at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on HBO, with the fourth season of its period drama. Facebook post from the show's account confirms the season also premieres that day on HBO Max, the streaming service.

The season runs eight episodes. New episodes arrive weekly, on Sundays, according to HBO's press site.

The cast marked the occasion in New York City on October 26, when HBO held the season's New York premiere. Deadline's photo gallery from the event shows Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector and Cynthia Nixon on the red carpet. Creator Julian Fellowes attended with Sonja Warfield. The cast reunited for the night, and the wider ensemble includes Christine Baranski, Louisa Jacobson and Denée Benton.

Fellowes writes, creates and executive produces the series. It is a co-production between HBO and Universal Television. Salli Richardson-Whitfield directs and also serves as an executive producer, alongside Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Bob Greenblatt, Kate Churchill, Davita Scarlett and Elaine Aronson.

The show is set in New York City between 1865 and 1914. HBO describes the season's plots this way. Bertha Russell has changed society, and her family must deal with the consequences. Marian is forging a new path. Peggy is working to win acceptance from her future in-laws.

The wider cast includes Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Kelli O'Hara and Phylicia Rashad. HBO's site lists the series as drama, period piece and family relationships.

Viewers without a subscription can sign up for HBO streaming plans, which start at $10.99 a month, according to HBO's series page. The official companion podcast, hosted by Alicia Malone and Tom Meyers, is also on the show's page.

For anyone who has followed the Russells and their circle since the early seasons, the schedule is simple. The first episode arrives on November 1, and the rest follow one a week until the eight-episode run is complete.
