Jon Stewart spent part of Monday's The Daily Show mocking Donald Trump's fixation on the rapper Nicki Minaj. The episode aired on October 26, 2026.

The remarks came from a rally Trump held in Michigan on Saturday. He said he had looked at "one hell of a beautiful ass before — Nicki Minaj. That's hard to miss." Stewart aired that clip on the show, and Variety reported that he also played a second clip in which Trump talked about a man's backside.

Stewart's response was openly incredulous. He asked how the moment could be real, and he compared Trump staring at Minaj to Yogi Bear floating toward a pie on a windowsill. The show also posted its own video about the remark on YouTube, under a title that used the phrase "Beautiful A**."

The episode covered other ground too. According to the Variety report, Stewart criticised an advert from Vivek Ramaswamy, the Republican candidate for governor of Ohio, that featured the estranged mother of Amy Acton, the Democratic candidate in the race. Metacritic lists the same episode as Season 31, Episode 31125, and describes it as an examination of Trump's record in negotiations.

Stewart's place on the show is settled for the next two years. He made his hosting debut on The Daily Show in 1999 and left in 2015. He came back in February 2024. He then signed a one-year renewal in November 2025, which had been due to run out at the end of 2026. Under the new arrangement, he stays as host through 2028.

For viewers, the episode is a reminder of how a nightly comedy programme can turn a campaign-trail remark into a segment within a day. The show's next episodes will show whether the Minaj clip returns to the air or fades from the news cycle.
