Chicken Shop Date Heads to Cinemas for One Final Night

Amelia Dimoldenberg is taking the final series of Chicken Shop Date to the big screen for one night only, on 24 November, in the UK, Ireland and Paris. Variety reported the event on 27 October, marking the end of the interview series after 12 years. It is being held in collaboration with YouTube's Cine Club.

All six episodes of the final series will be screened together, with exclusive new material added. The series includes interviews with Noel Gallagher, Role Model and Jorja Smith. The night ends with the last episode, which has not been released yet. It goes up on YouTube on 27 November, three days after the cinema screenings.

Cinemas taking part include the Duke of York's Picturehouse in Brighton, Picturehouse Central and Curzon Soho in London, and mk2 Bibliothèque in Paris. Several Vue sites are on the list too, among them Vue Manchester Printworks, Vue Edinburgh Omni Centre, Vue Birmingham Star City and Vue Dublin Liffey Valley.

Before the public screenings, there are two invite-only premieres. The first is in London on 16 November and the second in New York City on 17 November. Dimoldenberg will take part in Q&A sessions at both.

The end of the show was announced in early September. Dimoldenberg said on Thursday, 3 September, that Chicken Shop Date would finish after a few more dates, Time Out reported. The final season will air on both Netflix and YouTube, according to Variety.

The show's early years were a harder sell. In an interview with The Guardian, Dimoldenberg said publicists ignored the programme for years. She now says she can be picky about which A-list guests she books.

For fans in the UK, Ireland and Paris, the 24 November screening is the simplest way to see the whole final run on one big screen. Those who cannot get a seat can wait for the final episode on YouTube on 27 November.
