Adam Brody's remarks about the war in Gaza have drawn public responses from his Nobody Wants This co-star Tovah Feldshuh and from the show's creator, Erin Foster. The Netflix comedy's third season is streaming now.

In a GQ interview, Brody was asked about the conflict. He said: "put me down as thinking it's a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine." The Hollywood Reporter has reported on the reaction.

Feldshuh plays Bina, the mother of Brody's character, Noah. In a New York Post opinion piece, she wrote that accusing Jewish people of genocide is "wild." She went further, calling it "right out of Hitler's playbook."

Feldshuh also said that when genocide accusations are made, "You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator." She said comments like Brody's carry more weight when they come from Jewish people with large platforms, and that they matter to the Jewish community. She also said she believes the continued existence of the State of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic and free world.

Foster responded on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. She described Brody's comments as "complicated." She added: "While I love Adam, I also disagree with him." Foster said the show "has always been and always will be a love letter to Judaism."

The comments land on a show that is built around a Jewish family. Brody and Feldshuh both appear in the current season, which is available on Netflix. Foster's remarks are the first public word from the show's creative side in these reports, and neither Brody nor Netflix has been reported as commenting further.
