Connor Storrie in Talks to Play Villain Opposite Ryan Gosling in Marvel's Ghost Rider

Connor Storrie is in talks to play the villain opposite Ryan Gosling in Marvel's Ghost Rider movie, Variety reported on 27 October 2026. The talks are not a signed deal yet.
Gosling is the film's star. Marvel Studios confirmed in July that he will play Ghost Rider, the supernatural motorcycle rider from the company's comic books, after announcing the casting at San Diego Comic-Con. Storrie would be his opponent, so the film's central pairing is starting to take shape.
Shawn Levy is directing the film. Jonathan Tropper wrote the script. Both names were reported in the same Variety story, which also covered the talks with Storrie.
The release date is set for the summer of 2028. Marvel's listing gives the date as 28 July 2028, which would place the film in cinemas during the stretch of late-summer weeks when studios often send their biggest titles to the big screen. Marvel's date is a plan, and studios move dates from time to time, so it can still change before the film opens.
For a general audience, the sequence works like this. A studio picks a director and writer, then a star, then a villain, and each choice shapes the next. Storrie's casting, if it closes, would be one more link in that chain. Until a deal is signed and announced, though, the role is still open.
Marvel has not given a film-length update on the cast beyond Gosling, and the next official word will likely come from the studio or the actors' representatives.
