Robert Del Naja, the Massive Attack co-founder who also records as 3D, has co-curated the soundtrack for Life Support, a documentary about medical care in Gaza. He has also written three original songs for the 13-track album, according to Pitchfork.

The film draws on testimonies and footage from international doctors who were allowed into Gaza. It was directed by Daniele Rugo. It can be streamed on demand, with screenings mostly in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The soundtrack also includes a 3D remix of "Palestine" by Kneecap, featuring Fawzi. Another track, "Resistance in the Dark," is credited to The Five Techniques collective and features Paul Weller, David Holmes and Róisín El Cherif. Other contributors include Yasmine Hamdan, Habib Shehada Hanna, Massar Egbari, 47Soul, and Siba and Monkyman.

The money from the record is aimed at a specific cause. All profits from vinyl sales will go to the Health Workers 4 Palestine solidarity fund, a pool of money used to back health workers in Palestine. Vinyl is the physical record format, and the fund is the destination for those sales only.

Del Naja's own involvement has a recent background. In April, he was one of hundreds of protesters arrested in London for holding a placard in support of Palestine Action. The group is proscribed in the UK, which means the government has banned it under British law. Rolling Stone reported that he spoke out after the arrest.

Massive Attack has spoken about Gaza before. In July 2025, the band announced an alliance for musicians who face intimidation from within the music industry over their support for Gaza, according to Rolling Stone.

For listeners, the project is spread across two formats. The film is on demand, and the soundtrack's vinyl is the version tied to the fundraising. The songs run from remixes to new material from the artists named above, and the credits list each one by name.
