Panda Bear Announces Live Album PB Band Live 25 at Power Station

Panda Bear has announced a new live album, PB Band Live 25 at Power Station, due for release on 11 December. The record will come out on Domino's Domino Documents series of live studio recordings, according to Pitchfork, which reported the announcement on 28 October.
Panda Bear is the stage name of Noah Lennox, who is also a member of Animal Collective. The new album has 17 tracks. It gathers songs recorded at the Power Station studio in New York last autumn, following a tour across the U.K. and Europe.
A live studio recording is a set of songs played by a band together in a studio, rather than captured at a concert. The band on the record is a quintet. Tim Koh plays bass, Maria Reis handles keyboards and percussion, and Tomé Silva plays drums. Rivka Ravede works the samplers, and the group shares the backing vocals.
The first preview is a live version of "Take Pills," released ahead of the full album. A preview, in music terms, is a single or track shared early so listeners can hear a project before its release date.
The Domino Documents series gives the label's artists a way to present music as it sounds when a band plays it together in the room. For listeners who know Panda Bear's studio work, the album offers a chance to hear the same songs with a band behind them. For those coming to him for the first time, it is a single set of 17 tracks, with a release date of 11 December.
Further announcements about the album will be made by the label and the artist, and listeners can follow those through Domino's channels for updates.
