TBD Post, a post-production studio based in Austin, Texas, has hired Matthew Wallis as its Head of Post & Operations. Deadline reported the hire as an exclusive on 28 October 2026.

Post-production is the work that happens after filming. It covers editing, colour grading (adjusting the colour and mood of footage), visual effects, sound and finishing, which is the last polish before a project is delivered. Wallis will oversee staff, technology, strategy and workflow across all of those areas at the studio.

He is not new to the company's world. In a LinkedIn post from June, he said he had worked alongside TBD Post for more than a decade before joining it. Earlier in his career he was head of post on CNN's High Profits. He also co-created and co-executive produced the 2017 feature documentary Disgraced.

TBD Post was co-founded in 2012 by Ted Griffis, an editor, and Brandon Thomas, a colourist. The company works from a purpose-built facility of 6,000 square feet. Its services include creative editing, colour, visual effects, sound design, mixing, ADR (re-recording dialogue in a studio) and deliverables, the final files that broadcasters and platforms require. It works on feature films, series and commercials.

Recent credits named in the Deadline report include Markiplier's Iron Lung, Netflix's The Long Game and the Apple TV documentary Fathom.

Post-production rarely appears on screen, yet it shapes how a film or series looks and sounds by the time it reaches viewers. The people who run those rooms, from editors to sound mixers, keep projects moving from rough cut to finished file. A senior operations role is the job of making sure that work runs on schedule and on budget.
