Sherlock Holmes and the Twelve Days of Christmas will play at Alexandra Palace Theatre in north London this winter, with previews from 24 November 2026 and a run until 17 January 2027. WhatsOnStage confirmed the London cast and dates on 29 October.

Bo Poraj plays Sherlock Holmes and Marc Antolin plays Dr Watson. Charlie Russell is Athena Faversham, Mia Jerome is Queen Victoria, and John Ramm is Lestrade. Vivien Parry plays Mrs Hudson. The wider cast includes Jonnie Broadbent as Arthur Stone, Annabel Brook as Ernie, Wayne Cater as Wotan, Olivia-Faith Kamau as Estella Bottle, Mia Overfield as Clifford, Emily Pithon as Professor Murray and John-Luke Roberts as Fafner.

Edward Bourne and Margot Jardine are swings. A swing is an actor who learns several roles so they can step in when a colleague is unavailable. The official opening night is 1 December 2026, a week after previews begin.

The show is directed by Phillip Breen. It was written by Humphrey Ker and David Reed, and it had its world premiere at Birmingham Rep. Its songs are by Tim Rice and Howard Goodall. The Stage reported on 22 October that Andrew Lloyd Webber's music had been removed from the production, which Rice co-wrote with him for an earlier version of the Sherlock Holmes comedy.

The Alexandra Palace run is a London date for a show that began in the regional subsidised sector, a theatre supported by public funding. Transfers like this, where a production moves from a regional house into a London venue, are a common route for new work to reach a wider audience. Alexandra Palace Theatre is a relatively small venue in the north of the capital, set inside the Victorian landmark on the hill above Wood Green.

Ticket prices, the number of performances and the production's capacity are not part of the confirmed announcement. Those details will show up on the venue's booking pages as the run approaches.
