FromSoftware has moved The Duskbloods into 2027. The game had been due by the end of 2026.

The studio announced the change on 29 October 2026, according to GameSpot. The Duskbloods is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, which means it is planned for Nintendo's Switch 2 console and not for other platforms. A delay is a change to the planned release date, and this one pushes the launch into the next calendar year.

FromSoftware said the extra time will allow final adjustments to the game's rules and balancing. Balancing is the work of tuning numbers, so that no single weapon, tactic or character feels unfairly strong or weak. The studio also said the time will help it develop the game's core ideas further, including combat, strategic depth and player expression, meaning the ways players can shape how they play.

The company has said development is at the final adjustment stage. A post from the game's account on X made the same point.

FromSoftware also apologised to players who have been waiting for the game. It thanked them for their patience and support.

The studio is best known for the Dark Souls and Elden Ring series, action role-playing games built around demanding combat and exploration. The Duskbloods is its newest project to be announced for Switch 2, and it is now expected to arrive in 2027 rather than late 2026.

For players, the practical change is simple. The wait is longer, and the studio says the extra months are going into polishing the rules and fights before launch.
