Players in Grand Theft Auto VI can call for their car from a smartphone app, and a courier brings it to them. The service is called the Scooter Bros. app, according to GameSpot, which reported the feature on 29 October 2026.

The delivery is handled by a company employee who drives the vehicle to the player's location for a small fee. GamesRadar says the car arrives within a few seconds. The courier carries a compact scooter in the car's boot, the luggage compartment, and rides away once the car is dropped off.

The system has limits. Cars cannot be summoned in the middle of a robbery, so players have to plan a getaway vehicle in advance. That makes the choice of car part of the planning, not something to fix on the run.

Cars taken from the street work differently. They may have a driver who fights back, they may contain a tracker, and they may be low on fuel. Rockstar Games describes refuelling as a quick diversion, and the game's cars can run for a long time before they need it.

The game is being made largely by Rockstar North, which is based in Edinburgh and employs about 900 people. The studio's building previously housed The Scotsman newspaper. Rob Nelson is Rockstar North's co-studio head and head of development. The two protagonists are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a version for other platforms.

For readers who want more detail, the November 2026 issue of Edge magazine (Edge 430) carries a cover story on the game and goes on sale from 29 October 2026. GamesRadar's exclusive cover feature is titled "The state that never sleeps."

What the summon app changes is how a city feels to move through. Players no longer have to steal a car or walk to the one they parked. They order it, wait a few seconds, and drive off. The open question for many players is how much of the game's planning and risk will sit around that convenience, and the release date will answer that.
