Juliana Stock is leaving A+E Global Media to become president of Hearst Magazines, the publisher behind Cosmopolitan, Esquire and Good Housekeeping. The move takes effect on January 1, 2027, according to Variety.

Stock has spent more than a decade at A+E, the company that runs the A&E, History, Lifetime, FYI and LMN channels. She joined in 2013 and was promoted to president of marketing and digital in 2025. In that role she led marketing aimed at the wider TV industry and its partners, along with global consumer marketing, digital strategy and audience engagement across those channels.

Her work included the relaunch of History.com. She also helped grow A+E's direct-to-consumer products, which are sold straight to viewers, often by subscription. They include History Vault, Lifetime Movie Club and A&E Crime Central.

Before A+E, Stock worked for 11 years at Condé Nast, the magazine group, most recently as senior director of business and product development.

Hearst Magazines runs more than 30 brands in the United States. Its sites and magazines reach well beyond that, with 175 websites and more than 200 magazine editions worldwide. Stock's new post sits inside that large operation.

Debi Chirichella, who has been president of Hearst Magazines since 2020, will become chair of the group. Stock and Chirichella will both report to Steven R. Swartz, president and chief executive of Hearst, and Jordan Wertlieb, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Hearst also made a senior content hire this year. Chris Berend joined as chief content and experience officer in summer 2026. He had been chief digital officer of NBCUniversal News Group.

Stock's start date is set for the new year, which gives A+E time to plan its marketing leadership for the months ahead.
