Five More Actors Join FX's Untitled Crime Drama Pilot

Five actors have joined the cast of an untitled crime drama pilot at FX, according to Deadline, which reported the additions on 29 October 2026.
The newcomers are Jun Che, Sean Kaufman, Fala Chen, Leah Dou and Kheng Hua Tan. They join Havana Rose Liu, whose casting was announced earlier. A pilot is a single first episode that a network makes to decide whether a full series is worth ordering. Nothing about a pilot guarantees a full season.
The story follows a petty criminal who inherits a share in a mysterious and powerful corporation. Almost overnight, that person is pulled into a world of wealth and danger, run by a ruthless elite. The project was developed from an original story by Wong Kar Wai, who is also an executive producer.
Charles Yu and Julia Cho wrote the pilot and executive produce it. They are joined on the producing side by Hiro Murai, who directs, along with Carver Karaszewski, Claudia Shin, Kate Dean, Paul Schwartzman and Wong Kar Wai. Executive producers oversee a show from the business side, handling money, schedules and key creative decisions.
The pilot comes from FX Productions and Searchlight Television. Filming has taken place in Bangkok, where a production like this typically employs a large local crew alongside the cast. No order for a full series has been announced.
For now, the news is simple. Six lead and supporting actors are attached to a pilot that is already in production, and the people who will decide its future have not yet done so. A pilot can be picked up for a series, reworked, or quietly shelved, and each outcome plays out on its own timeline. Until FX says otherwise, the project stays in that early stage.
