Christina Aguilera Posts Nude Bathtub Selfie Ahead of Halloween
Christina Aguilera posted a nude bathtub selfie to Instagram on Wednesday, Oct. 28, a few days before Halloween. The photo shows her standing in a bathtub, with two ghost emojis covering parts of her reflection in the mirror. Her long blonde hair is swept to one side.
The post carried the caption "last looks before xtinaween," and it was published from her account, xtina. By the time it was reported, it had about 213,000 likes and 3,687 comments. Entertainment outlets picked it up within a day. Page Six described it as a sultry selfie ahead of Halloween, and E! News reporter Olivia Evans covered it the same day. Billboard also ran the story.
The Oct. 28 photo was not the first bathtub image of the week. On Oct. 26, Aguilera published a post captioned "Xtinaween" that showed a bathtub picture credited to the photographer account NAMZCANDY. The two posts appear to be part of a Halloween run on her feed, and both lean on the bathtub setting.
Halloween has a history on her account too. In 2023 she dressed as Cher as Tess, the character Cher played in the 2010 film Burlesque, a costume with a long run of fan attention.
Her last big public appearance before this week was a surprise. On Oct. 21, she turned up at Chappell Roan's Super Graphic Spectacular show in Los Angeles. She performed her 2002 song "Beautiful" and then duetted with Roan on "Coffee."
Aguilera's most recent studio album of new material is Aguilera, a Spanish-language record released in 2022. It reached No. 16 on Billboard's Top Latin Pop Albums chart, which ranks albums in that genre each week.
