Palace and Burberry Unveil a 10-Piece Collaboration, Sold Only in Soho

Palace, the London streetwear label known for its skate-rooted clothing, has unveiled a limited-edition collaboration with Burberry, the British luxury fashion house famous for its check pattern. According to WWD, the range will be sold only at Palace's new London flagship, at 8 Poland Street in Soho, from 5 November.
A capsule is a short, tightly edited collection, released as a single set rather than a full season. This one has 10 pieces, and the mix reflects both brands' signature items.
The range includes a Camden car coat from Burberry, in a honey beige shade. A car coat is a short-to-knee-length style first cut for motorists, and this version carries screen-printed artwork inspired by the British countryside. Other pieces include hooded jackets, T-shirts, caps and skateboards covered in Burberry's check.
Several items also carry a hybrid motif. It combines Palace's triangle logo with the Equestrian Knight Design, Burberry's long-standing emblem of a knight on horseback, which appears on the back of those pieces.
The launch date and the location are tied to a move by Palace. The brand closed its store on Brewer Street, also in Soho, on 21 September. It is now relocating to a larger, multi-floor flagship a short distance away. A flagship is a brand's main store, usually its largest and most prominent location in a city.
For a label that has built its reputation on street culture, a single shop-only launch in its new home is a clear way to introduce the space. For Burberry, the capsule puts its check and its horseman emblem onto the sort of everyday pieces it does not often sell under its own name. The collaboration gives customers a reason to visit the new Poland Street address in its first week of trading.
The range is limited, and the release is set for 5 November. Anyone interested in the pieces will need to visit the Poland Street store in person, since the launch is restricted to that location.
