Both Dune films directed by Denis Villeneuve are returning to IMAX theatres in November 2026, and the re-release comes with an exclusive sneak peek at Dune: Part Three, according to Variety.

The schedule is built around one night. A double feature of both films plays in IMAX theatres on Nov. 13 only. From Nov. 14 to 18, each film gets extra IMAX showtimes, so anyone who misses the marathon can still see either one on the biggest screen available.

IMAX lists Nov. 14 as the reissue date for Dune: Part Two, which first opened on March 1, 2024. The film is rated PG-13 and runs 2 hours 57 minutes, according to IMAX's film page.

Tickets for both reissues went on sale through IMAX in August. The company also said tickets for Dune: Part Three in IMAX 70mm film were on sale at select IMAX theatres at that time.

Dune: Part Three is scheduled for theatrical release on Dec. 18, per Variety. It is the final film in Villeneuve's sci-fi trilogy, and it comes from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. IMAX says the film was shot with IMAX film cameras and will play in IMAX 70mm film.

That timing leaves about five weeks between the November double feature and the new film's opening. For viewers who want to watch the trilogy before Part Three arrives, the reissue offers a chance to catch up on the big screen. Villeneuve is an Academy Award-nominated filmmaker, and the trilogy has now been shaped by his choice to finish it with IMAX film photography.
