Paramount+ will begin streaming shows from Moonbug Entertainment's kids catalogue on Nov. 1, bringing CoComelon and Blippi to the service for the first time.

According to Variety, the deal gives Paramount+ non-exclusive rights to the titles. That means Moonbug can also license the same shows to other services. The package includes more than 60 hours of programming from the CoComelon and Blippi universes.

The first wave arrives on Nov. 1. It adds Blippi Season 1, CoComelon's JJ's Animal Time Season 1 and Little Angel. A second wave follows on Dec. 15, with Blippi Season 2, CoComelon's The Melon Patch Seasons 1 and 2, Little Baby Bum Universe and Meekah. So the full list will not be on the service until mid-December.

The shows will be available on Paramount streaming platforms in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and Latin America. Variety reports that this is the first time Paramount+ has added Moonbug programming.

Moonbug is part of Candle Media, which is led by Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs. Its portfolio includes Little Baby Bum and Blippi, a live-action educational show that started on YouTube. Blippi was reported in 2020 to generate more than half a billion average monthly views.

Meekah is a spinoff of Blippi and stars Lauren Vaz. Variety reported on Oct. 22 that it was set to premiere on Nov. 7 on its own YouTube channel. That premiere is separate from the Paramount+ deal, which adds Meekah to the service on Dec. 15.

For families, the practical change is simple. Paramount+ subscribers will be able to find these shows in one place, in the countries listed above, on the dates set out in the deal. The schedule is staged, so anyone looking for a specific season should check the release date first.
