Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley have filed for divorce, Rolling Stone reported on Friday, 30 October 2026. The couple married in August 2023 and describe the split as an "uncontested joint divorce", meaning both sides agree on how it should end and neither is fighting it.

Antonoff is the singer associated with the band Bleachers. Qualley is an actor. The filing was listed as Sarah Margaret Qualley v. Jack Michael Antonoff in Kings County Supreme Court in Brooklyn, New York.

The court has processed a certificate of dissolution of marriage, the formal record that ends a marriage. A settlement agreement, the document that sets out how a separating couple divides their affairs, was still waiting for a judge to review it. The couple had no children.

They started dating in 2021. News of their separation first broke on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, when PEOPLE confirmed it. TMZ reported the same day that the couple had split after three years of marriage. Rumours had been circulating for days before that report.

Some details came out in the weeks that followed. A representative for Qualley said in July that there were no trust issues and no infidelity in the relationship. TMZ also reported that Antonoff was still wearing his wedding ring around the time of the split.

On the day of the filing, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE that the divorce was a mutual decision and that the two filed together. Later in July, a separate source told the magazine that the couple's different personalities had contributed to the breakup. Both accounts came from people who asked not to be named.

Antonoff has now spoken about the breakup in public. E! News reported in September 2026 that he had addressed it for the first time, about two months after the separation was confirmed.

A divorce in Kings County is a court process, and the next step is the judge's review of the settlement agreement. Until a judge signs off on that document, the terms of the split remain with the couple and their lawyers.
