The Creekers, a six-member band from Kentucky, released their second album, Follow the Sound, on Friday, 30 October 2026. It is the band's first full-length album on Warner Records Nashville, according to Billboard.

The band is built around a mix of voices and instruments. Tanner Horton sings and plays lead guitar. Anna Blanton plays fiddle, and Scott Sutton sings and plays banjo. Allen Hacker sings and plays rhythm guitar. Brothers Ashton and Jagger Bowling sing and play bass and cajón, a wooden box that is played by sitting on it and tapping the front.

The group began playing together in 2022 in Leslie County, Kentucky. They took their name from the creek-side country where they grew up in Eastern Kentucky, and from Tyler Childers' song "Creeker." Their first show was at the Caboose Saloon in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, billed as Tanner Horton and friends.

For a long stretch, the members played small clubs around Kentucky between shifts at ordinary jobs. Those jobs included work at a distribution centre, a furniture factory and in forestry, along with shoeing horses.

The band calls its style "creekergrass," a mix of alt-bluegrass with country, pop, blues and soulful gospel. Their first album, Pour It in the Creek, came out in 2024, and they followed it with the EP River Rat in 2025.

The turning point came in 2025, when a video clip of their song "Tennessee" was posted online and earned hundreds of thousands of views overnight. Billboard included the song in its Best New Country Songs roundup that August. After the clip spread, the band received more than 300 emails from record labels, industry figures and booking agencies.

Over the past year, The Creekers played Nashville's Ryman Auditorium and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. They also made their debut at the Grand Ole Opry, the long-running country music show.

The band signed with Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records in the spring of 2026. A record deal is the contract under which a label pays for, releases and promotes an artist's music. Warner Records Nashville announced the new album in September 2026 and said it would be available everywhere on 30 October.

One song on the record, "Little Man," was co-written by Tanner Horton and drew in part on his four-year-old son. It is about fatherhood and the memories parents try to make with their children. In August 2026, the band posted an official visualizer, a video built around the audio, for the title track "Follow the Sound" on YouTube.

Albums like this one have a long road before they reach a listener. Members who once fitted gigs around factory and forestry shifts now have a second album to take to stages, and the release date is the day it starts to reach strangers.
