Julio Enciso struck from distance in the 74th minute to rescue a 2-2 draw for Ipswich Town at Hull City on Saturday. It was his second goal in as many games, after he also scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest the week before.

The Premier League match at the MKM Stadium swung back and forth. Florentino Luis put Ipswich ahead in the 22nd minute. Enciso then headed in a second, but the goal was ruled out in the 37th minute for a foul on Oli McBurnie.

Hull were level early in the second half. Tim Iroegbunam scored in the 58th minute to make it 1-1. Ten minutes later, McBurnie curled a free-kick in to give Hull a 2-1 lead in the 68th minute.

Ipswich did not give up. Enciso, a Paraguayan attacking midfielder, went past the Hull midfield and let fly with his left foot. The shot rose into the top corner, and the score was level again. BBC Sport and ESPN both describe the strike in those terms.

For Hull, the result stretches a difficult run. They have now gone eight games without a win. They remain unbeaten at home, though, and the draw leaves them on 11 points. Ipswich also have 11 points, according to ESPN, so the two clubs sit level in the table.

Hull's manager is Sergej Jakirovic. Ipswich are coached by Gary O'Neil, who will look back on a game where his side twice struggled to hold a lead but kept coming back. Both teams had reasons to feel they could have won, and both could say they left with something.

For Ipswich fans, the story is Enciso. A goal that levels a match late is often remembered longer than the one that opened the scoring. Enciso has now done it twice in a week, and the second came on the road in front of a home crowd that had seen its side lead twice.
