Teddi Mellencamp Cries Over Relationship Update on Her Podcast

Teddi Mellencamp became emotional on the October 30 episode of her podcast, "Two Ts in a Pod," while talking about her relationship with a man known as "Valley Guy." US Magazine reported on the episode, which she recorded with cohost Dolores Catania.
Mellencamp, 45, said she and Valley Guy had been together for four months as of that recording. She said they began seeing each other this summer, after her 2024 separation from her ex, Edwin Arroyave. Early in the episode she told Catania, "I'm a total freaking mess, Dolores."
The most personal moment came when Mellencamp talked about her cancer. She said she told Valley Guy, "I don't know if I'm going to be alive in the future." Asked what she wanted from the relationship, she said, "Really, I just want a companion."
She also described what Valley Guy had told her. According to Mellencamp, he said he "can't give you any more than what I'm giving you because I don't see a future." She pointed to their different life stages, noting that she has four kids and a house.
TMZ reported on October 30 that Mellencamp said PJ Conley ended their relationship because he did not see a future.
Conley had been in the public eye with her before. People reported in August that Mellencamp had gone "Instagram official" with him, meaning the couple had confirmed the relationship with a public post on the photo-sharing app. The same outlet reported that she talked about Conley on the August 12 episode of the podcast.
Mellencamp hosts "Two Ts in a Pod" with Tamra Judge, and the show has long mixed reality-TV recaps with personal updates. This episode was less about the show and more about Mellencamp's own life. She cried through parts of the update, and she spoke about her health and her hopes in the same breath.
Her comments are hers alone. For listeners who follow her, the episode offers a direct look at where she stands right now. It also leaves questions about the future that she herself said she could not answer.
