Trump Campaigns in South Carolina and North Carolina in Final Stretch Before Midterms

Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on October 29, 2026, to support Senate candidate Darline Graham, according to NPR. The rally was held at the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center.
The same report says Trump also campaigned for North Carolina Senate candidate Michael Whatley. Earlier in the month, on October 20, Trump held a midterm rally in Greenville, North Carolina. There, he asked voters to imagine he was on the ballot.
At the rallies, Trump promised a "Trump dividend" of $5,000 for all American adults if Republicans win control of the House and Senate, the two chambers of Congress. In Lubbock, Texas, he discussed tariffs, which are taxes on goods brought into the country.
Trump held more than 25 rallies in October, most of them in states that usually vote Republican. He campaigned in Mississippi in late October as part of a closing rally schedule. According to NPR, he ended the midterm campaign by visiting states he won by large margins in the 2024 election.
On October 29, Reuters reported that Trump had canceled his weekend rallies and planned to join other midterm campaign events by phone. A White House official said on October 30 that Trump had restored canceled rallies in Iowa and Kansas, Reuters reported.
In his final campaign stops, Trump thanked supporters for the memories, NPR reported. Voters in the midterm elections will go to the polls on November 3, 2026.
