Express Holiday Campaign Stars Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin and Their Daughter

Express, the US fashion retailer, has put a famous family at the centre of its holiday campaign. Actress Lisa Rinna, actor Harry Hamlin and their daughter, Delilah Belle Hamlin, all appear in the campaign, which is titled "Holiday, Hamlin Style." Delilah Belle Hamlin's boyfriend, Mick Maio, also takes part.
The campaign was shot in Los Angeles by Adam Franzino, according to WWD, the fashion trade publication that first reported the details. The films are set to modern remixes of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker," the ballet first staged in 1892. The music gives the holiday push a playful, festive sound, and it stands apart from the usual seasonal shopping soundtrack.
Express plans to run the campaign across video, social media, its digital channels and its stores. Shoppers can buy the collection at express.com and at select Express stores. Featured styles in the holiday collection cost between $38 and $298.
The campaign builds on the company's "Dress to Express" platform, a brand idea the retailer has used to frame its fashion. Joe Berean, Express's chief marketing officer, is responsible for marketing the brand. The company has not, in the material reported so far, set out how much the campaign costs or how it will be measured.
For the retailer, the choice of talent is a clear marketing move. A family that already has a wide public following brings its own audience into the campaign. For shoppers, the practical details are the ones to note: the price range, and the fact that the range is sold online and in select shops.
Express is not the only fashion brand to lean on a celebrity family for a season push, but the Hamlin campaign is built around the family as a group rather than a single face. The advertisement is aimed at a holiday audience that spends across many channels, from phones to physical stores.
