Mike Diliberti is developing Worth, a detective drama, for NBC. Universal Television is behind the project. Deadline first reported the news on 2 November 2026.

The show follows Will Worth, a decorated Army Ranger who has become a bestselling author and pop-culture celebrity. In the series, he returns home to Nashville to work as a detective.

Diliberti is writer and executive producer. Universal Television is a division of Universal Studio Group. Jake Coburn and Jack Carr are also executive producers on the show.

Carr is a former Navy SEAL who became an author. His novel The Terminal List reached No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list and inspired the Prime Video series starring Chris Pratt. Coburn served as co-showrunner and executive producer of NBC's The Hunting Party. He was also co-creator and executive producer of NBC's crime drama The Endgame.

Diliberti's film work leans towards comedy. He wrote 30 Minutes or Less for Sony, an action comedy produced by Ben Stiller and directed by Ruben Fleischer. He made his feature debut with Bad Man in 2025, an action comedy starring Seann William Scott, Johnny Simmons and Rob Riggle.

A series in development is still at an early stage. The script is written and pitched, and the network decides later whether to move ahead with it. For now, Worth is a project to watch, with a cast of writers and producers whose previous shows have all reached NBC or Prime Video.
