The Chicks Postpone Los Angeles Show Because of Illness, Move It to Wednesday

The Chicks have postponed their concert at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre because of illness, moving the show to Wednesday, 4 November. The band announced the change on Monday, 2 November, hours before the performance was due to start.
The Los Angeles date was part of the group's tour marking 20 years since Taking the Long Way, their 2006 album. The Chicks' statement, as reported by Rolling Stone, confirmed the reschedule and the reason for it.
Tickets already bought for the Monday show will be honoured on the new Wednesday date, so fans who planned to attend do not need to buy again. Anyone who cannot make the new night can ask for a refund at the point of purchase, meaning the seller where the ticket was bought.
A postponed night is more than a date moved on a calendar. Venue staff, sound and lighting crews, and the musicians travelling with a tour all plan their days around a show. When a performance is pushed back by a day, each of those people has to rearrange work, travel and rest, often at short notice.
For the fans in the room, the change is simpler. The tickets stay valid, the stage is still booked, and the music is still on for Wednesday.
