Charli XCX has cancelled her Wednesday show in Glendale, Arizona, because she is ill. The concert, set for October 21 at Desert Diamond Arena, was announced as cancelled on Tuesday night, October 20, in a message she posted on Instagram.

In that post, addressed to fans she called her "arizona angels," she said she had been fighting sickness for the whole run of shows and had completely lost her voice. Billboard reported her words: "it breaks me that i can't be with you tomorrow." She said her team had tried to find a new date for the Arizona show, but had been unable to.

Ticketmaster had listed the Glendale event as sold out. Refunds for Ticketmaster buyers were to be issued automatically. People who bought tickets through other sellers were told to request refunds at their point of purchase, meaning the place they bought the ticket. Rolling Stone confirmed those refund arrangements.

The cancelled night was part of the Music, Fashion, Film Tour, which opened in Philadelphia in September 2026. The Arizona date was the second-to-last stop on the tour's U.S. leg. The leg ends on Friday, October 23, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In her message, Charli XCX said she was resting ahead of that show and wanted to finish the tour with fans.

Before Arizona, she played two shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Chappell Roan joined her on stage for "Boom Clap," and PinkPantheress performed a set of her own, according to Rolling Stone.

Live Nation Phoenix, the promoter's local team, had posted a "last chance" message on Facebook urging fans to attend the Glendale show with special guest underscores. The post carried no date marker, and the cancellation came after it.

Charli XCX has concerts scheduled in Europe and South America in 2027. No new Arizona date has been announced.

A cancelled concert is more than an empty stage. Ticket holders wait for money to come back, and the venue, crew and support acts lose a night they had planned around. For fans in Glendale, the wait now is for their refunds, and for the tour, the next stop is Las Vegas on Friday.
