The Dazey Phase Joins Aizzah Fatima's Debut Feature, Miss Christian Babe

The production company The Dazey Phase has signed on as a coproducer of Miss Christian Babe, the feature directorial debut of Aizzah Fatima, Deadline reported on 3 November 2026.
A coproducer shares the producing work on a film, often alongside the company that brought the project together. The film is a coming-of-age story set in Mississippi about growing up Muslim in the American South. It looks at identity, faith, community and belonging.
Fatima is best known to many viewers as the creator and star of Americanish. She co-wrote that project with Iman Zawahry, who directed it. Americanish was later acquired by Sony International after its festival run, according to the same report. Now Fatima steps behind the camera as the director of her own feature.
The producing team is also taking shape. Jake Casey and Danielle Benedict, both of The Dazey Phase, are producers on the film, along with Rohi Mirza Pandya. Pandya is one of the founders of Box Office Guru Media.
The Dazey Phase was founded by Jake and Eva Casey, two natives of Syracuse, New York. The company's involvement adds a new partner to a project that is still early in its life.
For readers wondering how a film gets made, the path usually runs through a series of hands. A director and writer bring an idea. Producers and coproducers bring money, people and planning. Only then do decisions about where and when a film reaches audiences begin to take shape. This announcement is one step in that chain.
No release date or distributor for Miss Christian Babe has been announced.
