Tame Impala and JENNIE's "Dracula" had its biggest streaming day yet on Halloween. The song recorded 2.8 million official on-demand U.S. streams on Oct. 31, according to Luminate, the data company that counts music plays for Billboard's charts. Billboard

On-demand streams are plays a listener chooses, such as a song picked from an album or a playlist, rather than a track heard on the radio. The Oct. 31 total beat the song's previous best single day, just over 2 million streams on April 6, by a margin of nearly 40%. It also stood 56% above the 1.8 million streams the song drew on the previous Halloween.

The day's numbers placed "Dracula" among the most-played songs of the holiday, though not at the top. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" posted 10 million official on-demand U.S. streams on Oct. 31, while "Monster Mash" logged 7 million and "Ghostbusters" 6.6 million. Among songs from the 21st century, "Dracula" led the way, ahead of Rihanna's "Disturbia" at 2 million, Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary" at 1.4 million and Nelly Furtado's "Maneater" at 1 million.

Before the holiday, Billboard had described the Halloween race on the Billboard Hot 100, the weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the U.S., as a contest between "Thriller" and "Dracula" for a first seasonal Halloween No. 1 of the century. The Hot 100 blends streaming, radio airplay and sales into one list. Billboard

The song is also doing well on other charts. It has spent seven weeks at the top of Billboard's Radio Songs chart, which ranks tracks by how often radio stations play them, and that run is still going. On the Hot 100, "Dracula" was holding at No. 5 for the chart dated Nov. 7, its 58th week on the list. Earlier in the autumn, Billboard noted that the song had given Tame Impala their first Hot 100 top 10. Billboard

The track first appeared on Deadbeat, Tame Impala's album from October 2025. It is released on Columbia Records, one of the major labels, and it features JENNIE, the Blackpink member and solo artist. Its run has been long enough that the song is now charting in its second year of release.

For anyone who has ever played a song on repeat through a long October, the numbers show how many people chose to hit play on the same night. Each stream is a single choice, and on Oct. 31 those choices added up to a record for one song.
