Sabrina Carpenter Goes Stevie Nicks, Then Hairspray, for Halloween

Sabrina Carpenter marked Halloween with two costumes, and she shared the photos on Instagram on Monday, 2 November.
The first look was a Stevie Nicks costume. Carpenter wore a black dress with flowing sleeves, a black hat and a tambourine. Billboard reported the photos, which were posted to Instagram on Monday.
The second costume was a character from the 2007 film Hairspray. Carpenter recreated Penny Pingleton, the part played by Amanda Bynes in that film, with teased hair and a dress in the style of the 1960s. People also covered the transformation.
She did not go alone for the Hairspray look. The group costume included Amber Mark as Seaweed and Paloma Sandoval as Tracy Turnblad, two more characters from the same story. Seaweed and Tracy are the film's leads alongside Penny, so the set reads as a full cast rather than a single outfit.
Two costumes in one post is a common Halloween pattern, with one look for the costume party and another for the group photo. Here the two looks are very different. One is a solo rock-era silhouette, the other a crowd of 1960s high-school characters. Both were shared on the same day.
