Billy Evans says he does not regret appearing in Nathan Fielder's documentary You Can See Everything, and he has opened the floor to questions from the public.

On Monday night, Evans invited viewers to an ask-me-anything session (an AMA, where people post questions and the guest answers) on X, the social media platform. He said the answers would have to stay within the law. He also gave his account of the film in an interview with Variety.

Evans said he had seen almost all of Fielder's earlier work before filming. He and Elizabeth Holmes, the former chief executive of the collapsed blood-testing company Theranos, did zero preparation before they filmed with Fielder, he told Variety. Holmes is in prison.

Christopher Abbott plays Evans in the reenactments, opposite Amanda Seyfried as Holmes. Asked whether Abbott had been miscast, Evans replied, "Who is that?"

The film also raises the question of drug use. Asked directly about cocaine during filming, Evans said, "Never been a fan." He put his frequent sniffing on camera down to illness from looking after two toddlers alone, and to allergies in Austin, Texas.

Evans said he holds power of attorney for Holmes, which lets him act on her behalf while she is incarcerated. He said it does not replace her consent. He also said he has been posting on her social media accounts. "We talk about everything, including X," he said. "Nothing happened behind her back."

A trailer covered by People in September shows Fielder asking Evans whether he worries Holmes is "scamming" him. Evans's own account of their relationship in the film, and his answers on camera, are the focus of his interview.

Away from the case, Evans named his four favourite films as The Fall, Alien, The Great Dictator and Primer. He said the production marked Fielder's birthday around a table in Del Mar, California, with Evans's family. Fielder was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in 2023.

Evans's AMA invitation points viewers to his account, @per_asp3ra, on X. The public can judge the answers alongside the film.
