New Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 music video adds scenes from Weak and Avida's past

A new music video for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 contains scenes that are not in the Netflix series. The clip fills in the history of its two central characters, Weak and Avida.
The song is "Watson" by Petite Meller, featuring Oslo Green. It plays over the end credits of the show, which has ten episodes. In the video, the pair meet before the events of the series, and the clip moves through key moments in their relationship, including their breakup. Video Games Chronicle reports that all of the scenes are new.
Edgerunners 2 is a standalone story, meaning it does not depend on the plot of the video game it grows from. It is set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, the game made by CD PROJEKT RED. The anime is being made with the studio TRIGGER, and the new series brings both teams back to Night City, the game's city of neon and chrome. CD Projekt first announced the Netflix anime in July 2025, and it released a first teaser soon after.
The show's new cast is the heart of the story. The official Cyberpunk website describes Weak as a washed-up cyberpunk legend, a former star of his field who has fallen out of favour. The same site says Avida was once a jazz singer and a corporate insider. She is now Weak's former partner, and she has built a new life as the wife of an executive at Kang Tao, one of the fictional companies in the series.
Invenglobal gives Weak's full name as Weak Kingsley. The same name appears in the show's official social media post about the video.
For viewers who finished the series with questions about these two, the video offers a set of earlier scenes. It shows the events that led them apart, without changing what happens on screen in the episodes. The clip is a short way into the characters, and the show carries the rest of the story.
