Country singer Maren Morris has proposed a film club built around famous movies she has never watched. She made the suggestion in a TikTok video posted on 2 November 2026, and Billboard reported on it the following day.

Her official TikTok account is @marenmorris. The video carries the title "sorry we're loudly watching Up in the background of this," and in it she mentioned The Goonies and The NeverEnding Story. She is also keen to see films she has missed, and the idea is a loose club where the movies get picked and watched together.

Morris named Full Metal Jacket and Uncle Buck among the classics she has never seen. Billboard's report adds a turn in her story with the comedy Home Alone. She first watched it at 28, and she now says she loves it.

Morris released her fourth studio album, Dreamsicle, in May 2025. Her film club idea has nothing to do with that record. It is a light, personal post from a singer who likes to talk about what she watches at home.

For anyone who has ever nodded along to a movie everyone else seems to have seen, the appeal is simple. A club gives a gap in viewing a shared schedule, and a few people to watch with. The idea is also easy to copy: pick a film, press play, and tell someone what you thought.
