Democrats won three of the four Florida congressional districts that Republicans had redrawn this year, and narrowly led in the fourth, according to The Guardian. The results came in the November 3, 2026 election.

Congressional districts are the areas that each elect one member of the U.S. House of Representatives, the lower chamber of Congress. Redrawing their boundaries, a process called redistricting, can change which party's voters make up a majority in each area. Florida's map was redrawn this year by Governor Ron DeSantis and Republicans who control the state legislature, with the aim of favoring Republicans. Reuters reported in April that Florida Republicans had approved a map aimed at flipping four Democratic-held House seats.

The four redrawn districts are the 9th, 14th, 22nd and 25th. Democrats Kathy Castor, Pia Dandiya and Jared Moskowitz were projected to win the 14th, 22nd and 25th, according to CNN. Castor and Moskowitz are sitting Democratic members of Congress. In the 9th district, Democrat Darren Soto was leading.

The redrawing was part of a wider effort in which Republicans in Texas, Florida, Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee and North Carolina changed congressional districts in their favor in 2026. The effort was pushed by President Donald Trump and his allies. The Guardian reported that, had the redrawn Florida districts been in place in 2024, Trump would have won all but one by double digits, and the remaining one by about nine points.

Statewide races were also decided on November 3. Republican Ashley Moody, the incumbent senator, defeated Democratic challenger Angie Nixon by a narrow margin in the Senate race. Republican Byron Donalds won the governorship. According to PBS NewsHour, a Democrat last won the Florida governorship more than 30 years ago, and DeSantis won his own reelection in 2022 by 19 points.

Precinct-level results for the general election are published by the Florida Division of Elections, the state office that runs elections, on its website.
