Juanes Sets Nov. 6 Release for '25 Aniversario' Greatest Hits

Colombian singer Juanes will release a greatest hits album on Nov. 6, marking 25 years since he started his solo career. The collection, called '25 Aniversario', is his first greatest hits release and runs to 25 tracks. Universal Music Latino is putting it out, according to Billboard.
A greatest hits album gathers the best-known songs from an artist's career onto one set. This one opens with the title track from 'Fíjate Bien', Juanes's debut album from 2000. Three of the songs have topped Billboard Hot Latin Songs, the weekly chart that ranks the most popular Latin songs in the United States. They are 'La Camisa Negra', 'Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor' and 'Me Enamora'.
'Me Enamora' has one of the longer runs on that chart. In 2007 it led Hot Latin Songs for 20 weeks and stayed on the chart for 38 weeks in total, Billboard reported.
Juanes was born and raised in Medellín, Colombia. Across his career he has won 25 Latin Grammys, four Grammys and more than 10 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
The album will be available on major digital platforms, which means streaming and download services. It will also come out on CD and vinyl. Physical copies give fans a version they can hold, while streaming lets listeners hear the full set in one go.
The tracklist moves through songs from across the years, from 'Podemos Hacernos Daño' and 'Es Por Ti' to 'Fuego', 'A Dios Le Pido' and 'Yerbatero'. It closes with 'Amores Prohibidos'. Anyone who has followed Juanes since the early days can hear the full run in order, and newer listeners get a single place to start.
For Juanes, the release is a way to mark a quarter-century of records, and for Universal Music Latino it is a new release to sell in the weeks ahead. Fans who want the album on its first day can find it from Nov. 6 onward.
