Vaneast Pictures Takes Worldwide Sales Rights to Romantic Comedy Adulting

Vaneast Pictures has picked up worldwide sales rights to Adulting, a romantic comedy, and will take it to the American Film Market. Sales rights give a company the job of selling a finished film to cinemas, streamers and TV channels in each country, in exchange for a share of the money those deals bring in.
The story, as Deadline describes it, follows a cynical woman in her thirties who is confronted by her 12-year-old self after a head injury. Leighton Meester, Tyler Posey, Sherry Cola and Viven Lyra Blair lead the cast. Maureen Bharoocha directed the film from a script by Anna Rose Moore.
Production and financing came from BuzzFeed Studios, working with Caliwood Pictures, Fortitude International, North Avenue Pictures and Red Fort Media. The producers are Richard Alan Reid, Michael Philip, Maia Glikman and Ryan Lewis. Deadline also published a first-look image from the film alongside the news.
The sales deal puts the film in front of buyers at the American Film Market, a trade event where distributors and sales agents meet to trade films that are finished or nearly finished. The market takes place every November, and it describes itself as the only independently produced international sales market. Media Play News reported in May that Vaneast Pictures was among the exhibitors confirmed for AFM 2026, with 90 exhibitors confirmed in total.
Deals struck at the market often decide which films reach cinemas and streaming services in the months after it closes. For now, the announcement gives Adulting a sales company and a set of buyers to approach. No release date, distributor or price has been announced for the film so far.
