Tori Spelling and Brian Austin Green are starring in an untitled thriller for vertTV, a Los Angeles studio that makes microdramas, which are short series built to be watched on a phone held upright. The Hollywood Reporter reported the casting, and said production was wrapping in Los Angeles on a Wednesday.

Carol Potter, who played Cindy Walsh, mother of Brenda and Brandon, in the original Beverly Hills, 90210, is also in the cast. Spelling played Donna Martin in that series, and Green played David Silver, Donna's love interest on screen.

The project is a first vertical microseries for both actors. A microseries is a short, limited run, and the vertical format means the picture fills a phone screen from top to bottom rather than sitting sideways. Neither the title nor a release date has been announced.

vertTV was launched in July 2026 by Jeffrey Schenck, Barry Barnholtz and Peter Sullivan. It arrived with its own standalone app for iPhone and Android phones, so viewers find its shows there rather than on a general streaming service.

The reunion also has a personal history. Green told Fox News in December 2025 that he and Spelling had gone through an 18-year silence after Beverly Hills, 90210 ended, and that the two were rebuilding their friendship. Their first project together in that time is now a thriller.

For the crew, the news is practical. A microdrama is shot quickly, and a wrap date tells the people behind the camera that the set is closing and the edit is next. The cast and crew will now wait for the title, a launch date and the first episodes to appear in the vertTV app.
