A helicopter crashed into Biscayne Bay near Miami on the morning of November 4, 2026, leaving one person dead and two others injured, according to The Guardian.

The aircraft was a Robinson R44 II carrying three people. It went down in the water east of Miami Executive Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration said the helicopter crashed at around 11:15 a.m. Eastern time, according to ABC7.

Authorities, including the U.S. Coast Guard, responded at approximately 11:30 a.m. Fire crews from Miami-Dade Fire, the City of Miami Fire and Key Biscayne Fire Rescue also went to the crash scene. The wreckage was found submerged upside down in the water, with its yellow emergency floats still attached.

Two adult patients with traumatic injuries, meaning injuries caused by a sudden blow or impact, were taken from the scene to a trauma center, a hospital equipped to treat serious injuries, for higher-level care.

The National Transportation Safety Board, the federal agency that investigates transportation accidents, said it is investigating the crash.
