Queen Letizia of Spain wore a navy dress she has worn before when she joined King Felipe VI for a dinner at Madrid's Royal Palace on 4 November 2026. The dinner welcomed delegations to the 30th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, a regular meeting of leaders from Spain, Portugal and Latin America.

The Royal Household's website says the King and Queen "offered the inaugural dinner (cena inaugural)" of the summit at the palace. Earlier that day, the opening ceremony took place at the Teatro Real, Madrid's opera house, where the King and Queen received presidents and foreign ministers attending the meeting. EFE reported the reception, and Forbes Centroamérica described the gala as celebrating diversity and cooperation.

The dress is a Delpozo design, from the Spanish label's Pre-Fall 2017 collection. Pre-Fall is a range shown ahead of the main seasonal collections. Hello! Magazine reports that it was created while Josep Font was at the helm of the Madrid-based house. Harper's Bazaar describes a bare one-shoulder neckline, midi sleeves that end below the elbow, and a pencil silhouette, meaning a slim, straight-cut skirt.

The Queen has a history with this outfit. Hello! reports that she first wore it in December 2017 for the 50th-anniversary celebrations of the sports newspaper AS. She wore it again at the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards in Oviedo, the annual prizes given in the Asturian city.

For the dinner she paired the dress with navy slingback shoes, which have an strap around the heel, and a matching clutch from Magrit, a Spanish accessories label. Her aquamarine earrings, a pale blue-green stone, are a pair that her elder daughter, Princess Leonor, has also worn, according to Hello!.

The dinner was one part of a busy few days for the King. On 3 November he met four Latin American presidents at the Royal Palace: Laura Fernández Delgado of Costa Rica, Bernardo Arévalo de León of Guatemala, Nasry Asfura of Honduras and José Antonio Kast Rist of Chile. The same day he opened an exhibition at the National Library of Spain with Portuguese President António José Seguro. The show, titled "Camões: vida, obra y pervivencia en la cultura hispánica", marks 500 years since the birth of the Portuguese poet Luís de Camões.

On 4 November the King also closed the XVI Ibero-American Business Meeting at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, Madrid's bullring. The meeting is the only private-sector event that forms part of the summit's official programme. He attended the presentation of the Ibero-American Disability Card at the Palacete de los Duques de Pastrana, and gave the Enrique V. Iglesias Prize for the development of the Ibero-American business space to the banker André Esteves, chosen by unanimous jury decision.

The summit runs on 4 and 5 November. The King is due to preside over the plenary session on Thursday, 5 November 2026.
