Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner to Lead Hollywood Christmas Parade

Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, the hosts of Entertainment Tonight, will serve as grand marshals of this year's Hollywood Christmas Parade, according to Variety, which reported the news on Nov. 5. Grand marshals are the honorary leaders who head the front of the procession.
The parade takes place on Nov. 29. It is presented by Associated Television International in association with the City of Los Angeles. This year is the 94th anniversary edition, and it supports Marine Toys for Tots, the Marine Corps program that collects new toys for children at Christmas.
Erik Estrada and Laura McKenzie will host the event on the day. Montel Williams and Elizabeth Stanton will join them as parade co-hosts. The parade will feature 5,000 participants.
The route covers 3.2 miles in a U-shape. It starts at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard, heads east to Vine Street, turns south onto Sunset Boulevard, then runs west back to Orange Street.
Plans for a day on the street start early. Grandstand bleacher seats open at 4 p.m. Pre-parade entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m., and the parade kicks off at 6 p.m.
Those who cannot make it to Hollywood can watch on television. The parade will be taped for national primetime broadcast on The CW Network, and it will also air internationally on Armed Forces Network during the holiday season. The CW will show the national broadcast on Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time, with an encore on Dec. 24.
For the people behind the scenes, the timetable is tight. Thousands of performers, marchers and volunteers have to be in place along a route that loops through the heart of Hollywood. The broadcast date gives viewers across the country, and overseas, a second chance to see the day.
