Olivia Rodrigo Releases Her First Holiday Song, "Take Me Home (4 Christmas)"

Olivia Rodrigo has released her first-ever holiday song, "Take Me Home (4 Christmas)," together with a festive music video. The single came out on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m. Pacific time, the date Universal Music Canada had announced on Nov. 2.
The video is a holiday party in miniature, and it has a guest list. Actor Cynthia Nixon and Ben Marshall, a cast member of Saturday Night Live, appear in it. Billboard reports that the two play a version of Head's Up, the party game in which a word is taped to your forehead and everyone else tries to get you to guess it. The word here is "Olivia Rodrigo."
A short preview of the video had already appeared online on Nov. 4, according to Billboard. The song was produced by Dan Nigro, who has worked with Rodrigo on her earlier records. It was released through Interscope Records, one of the labels in the Universal Music Group.
Fans who want a physical copy have a few options from her official store. The standard version is a 7-inch vinyl record, the small single-song format with one track on each side, priced at $15.00. There is also an exclusive red 7-inch marketed as "under the tree," and a red cassette, a magnetic tape in a small plastic case.
The official music video is available to watch on YouTube, where it was published on Nov. 5. For listeners, the appeal is simple: a new song from a major pop artist, arriving in the middle of the season when holiday music tends to start appearing on playlists and radio. The single is out now, and the video is online.
