Olivia Rodrigo's first holiday song, "Take Me Home (4 Christmas)," is scheduled for release at 8 p.m. ET on Nov. 5. Ahead of that, she previewed the video with a 40-second teaser on Nov. 2.

The teaser, reported by Billboard, has no audio from the song. It stars Ben Marshall and Cynthia Nixon, with both playing Heads Up. Marshall is a cast member of Saturday Night Live, the long-running American sketch comedy show, according to Variety.

The same day, Rodrigo unveiled the single's artwork. It shows her in a red Santa hat, a top with a candy cane theme, a black leather motorcycle jacket and a polka dot skirt.

The track is also her first new music since her third studio album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love," which came out in June. An album is a full collection of songs, and a studio album is one recorded in a studio rather than live.

Fans who want a physical copy have several options, and the details vary by country. Rodrigo's official store lists a 7-inch vinyl single, the small record format that usually carries one song per side, at $15.00. A red cassette edition is also on offer through the same store.

Buyers in the United Kingdom and Ireland can get an exclusive "under the tree" red 7-inch. Her official UK store gives the release date as Nov. 6, 2026. The same edition is listed only for those two countries. On the Australian store, the red 7-inch is priced at A$36.99.

For listeners in Britain and Ireland, the vinyl arrives one day after the song's US launch. Because the release is set for 8 p.m. ET on Nov. 5, it lands at 1 a.m. GMT on Nov. 6 in the UK, so the timing is almost identical across both sides of the Atlantic.

Holiday songs are a seasonal part of the music business. Many artists release them in the weeks before late-year festivities, when radio stations and streaming playlists begin to feature them. Rodrigo's single is her first in that category, and the teaser gives the first look at how its video will look.
