Letitia Wright Set to Star in Supernatural Horror *In Her Shadow*

Letitia Wright is set to star in In Her Shadow, a supernatural horror film, according to Deadline, which reported the casting on 6 November 2026.
The film is written and directed by Rowan Athale. It is still in pre-production, the planning stage that comes before cameras roll.
Wright will also work behind the scenes as an executive producer, the role of someone who helps bring money and people together without running the day-to-day shoot. She is doing it through her 3:16 Productions banner, a company name that carries her projects.
The film's story centres on Annie Cutter, an author who adopts her late sister's young daughter. The girl had been locked in a basement for five years. The premise is dark, and the film's horror grows out of that home and that family.
Production is led by Ed Barratt and Richard Wylie of Public Pictures, along with Mark Lane of Tea Shop Films. Stephen Kelliher and Sophie Green of Bankside Films are also listed as producers. Bankside Films developed the screenplay, which means it worked on the script from an early stage.
Bankside is also starting world sales on the project before the American Film Market, or AFM. World sales means selling the right to show a film in different countries, and the AFM is a trade event where distributors and sales agents buy and sell films, often before they are finished. Deadline reported that Bankside is launching sales ahead of that market, so buyers will be able to see the project's pitch while it is still being made.
For film fans, the announcement is a first step rather than a release. A film in pre-production can still change cast, schedule or budget before it reaches a screen, and no release date has been set. What the news does show is how projects like this take shape: a script, a company to sell it, a team of producers, and a star who has signed on before the cameras start.
