CNBC is investing more heavily in Jim Cramer, and his paid investing club is getting a higher-priced tier in 2027. The business network has signed him to a new long-term contract, according to Variety, extending a relationship that has lasted about a quarter century.

Cramer leads Mad Money, a show he hosts on the channel, and co-anchors Squawk on the Street, a programme on the financial markets. He has been a regular on CNBC for about 25 years. KC Sullivan is the president of the network. CNBC is backed by Versant, whose chief executive is Mark Lazarus.

The investing club is the newer part of the picture. CNBC has offered Cramer's Investing Club since 2022. Members currently get access to trades made for his Charitable Trust, analysis of the stocks the trust holds, videos, daily market analysis and monthly virtual meetings.

The new premium tier is the next step. A premium tier is a higher level of membership with extra perks. This one will give subscribers access to live shows and workshops led by Cramer. It launches in 2027.

CNBC also plans to hire a general manager to help Cramer run the club. A general manager is the person who oversees the day-to-day running of a business. The network has not yet said how much the premium tier will cost or what each membership level will include. Those details will come later.

For viewers, the change is simple to describe. The free television show stays where it is, and the paid club grows. Members who want live sessions with Cramer will have a new option once the tier opens. Anyone who only watches the programmes on air will see no change in how to watch them.

What happens next depends on the launch date and the pricing announcement. Both are still to come.
