Doja Cat appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Friday, 6 November, to talk about her fifth album, Vie. The conversation ranged from outer space to airline etiquette, according to Billboard, which reported the appearance.

Asked about life beyond Earth, she said she thinks there may be life elsewhere in the universe. On Mars, she said, any life would most likely be microbes. She brought up tardigrades, tiny animals also called water bears, which are known for surviving harsh conditions.

Ghosts came up next. She said she does not believe in them and does not like how Hollywood portrays them. What she wants, she said, is ghosts that are solid. "If I can punch you that's scary because then that means you can punch me back!"

The show also covered everyday rules. Whether it is okay to take your shoes off on a plane, she said, depends on the situation. "If you have no socks on? No!" On group chats, she said 20 people is too many, and 15 is too many too, but 12 is about right.

She also talked about the album. Vie debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, the weekly US chart that ranks albums by sales and streams. Asked to name the one song she could listen to for the rest of her life, she picked "One More Time" from the record.

Her childhood stories were a lighter thread. She described her fourth-grade alter ego, Michael, who wore Dickies trousers, an oversized T-shirt, sneakers and a hat.

The Jennifer Hudson Show had listed Doja Cat as a guest for its broadcast week of 2 to 6 November, alongside Shaboozey and Kristen Bell, in a guest lineup published on the show's website.
