Lady Helen Taylor, a trustee of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, attended the launch of the Ever After Garden 2026 at Duke of York Square in Chelsea on Wednesday. She went in support of the charity, which runs the Royal Marsden cancer hospital in London and the Chelsea area.

Hello Magazine reported that the appearance was low-key. Lady Helen is the daughter of the Duke of Kent, a first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and of his late wife, the Duchess of Kent. She has a long record of public engagements, though she is less often in the news than some other members of the wider royal family.

The Ever After Garden began in 2019. It was created by the designer Dame Anya Hindmarch and the fashion writer Camilla Morton after the death of their friend Michael Howells, who was also a trustee of the Royal Marsden. The garden has since become a fundraising event linked to the hospital.

Tatler described the Wednesday evening outing as Lady Helen joining Dame Anya in Chelsea to champion a charity associated with the Princess of Wales. The Prince and Princess of Wales took on joint patronage of the Royal Marsden Foundation Trust in January 2025. Patronage means lending a public name and backing to a cause, and it does not involve running the organisation.

Lady Helen's own link to the charity is personal as well as official. According to Hello, her husband, Timothy "Tim" Taylor, was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph system, in 1998. He had chemotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital that year, at the age of 39.

The couple have four children: sons Columbus and Cassius, and daughters Eloise and Estella. Hello reported that Lady Helen had been seen earlier in October at the Frieze Art Fair VIP Preview in Regent's Park, with Columbus, 32, and Cassius, 29.

Charity launches of this kind usually bring together donors, supporters and the people who run the cause. Lady Helen's presence adds a familiar name to the guest list, and her connection to the Royal Marsden is set out in her own family's history.
