NASCAR's Season Finale Goes Green on NBC Sunday

The NASCAR Cup Series season ends on Sunday, Nov. 8, when the championship race starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. The race is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET, and NBC Sports says the green flag, the signal that starts the race, is due shortly after 3 p.m. ET.
If you want to watch on television, NBC is the channel. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the race will air live on NBC, with pre-race coverage starting at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET, about an hour before the start. People who do not have a TV package can stream NBC through DirecTV or Fubo, which each offer a five-day free trial. A free trial gives new customers a short stretch of access at no cost before paid billing begins.
Radio fans have a choice too. MRN and SiriusXM will carry coverage of the race, according to NASCAR's 2026 schedule page.
The race covers 267 laps, which adds up to 400.5 miles. A lap is one trip around the track, so the cars will complete that distance in one continuous run to the checkered flag, the finish signal.
The race is the centrepiece of a three-day weekend. The Cup, O'Reilly and Truck series all conclude their seasons at Homestead-Miami this weekend, which runs from Nov. 6 to 8. The speedway's fan hospitality packages, which give ticket holders closer access to teams and drivers, are sold out, according to the track's own fan hospitality page.
For viewers, the practical details are simple. Set your alarm for early afternoon on the East Coast, or late morning on the West Coast, to catch the pre-race show. The main event follows around 3 p.m. ET. The cars will be on track for the final championship race of the 2026 season.
