Bournemouth beat Ipswich 2-1 at Portman Road, and their eighth straight victory came with a striker back among the goals.

Evanilson had gone six appearances this season without scoring. He broke that run after five minutes, and The Guardian reports it was his fifth goal in a row in the Premier League. He now has seven goals in eight matches. Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton tried to dribble around him just before the strike, and the striker made the most of the loose moment.

Bournemouth doubled their lead early in the second half. Ryan Christie's effort struck Ipswich defender Leif Davis and flew into the net, an own goal, which means a player scoring against his own side by accident. It came 27 seconds after the restart, and it put the visitors 2-0 up.

Ipswich did not give up. Jack Clarke stepped up and scored a penalty, a spot kick awarded for a foul in the box, with 17 minutes left. That made it 2-1 and set up a tense finish at Portman Road, but the lead held.

For Bournemouth, the result stretches a run that has been hard for their rivals to stop. Their manager, Marco Rose, now has a side that has won eight matches in a row. Ipswich, meanwhile, have won only one of their last seven, and that is the sharper worry for their supporters.

The match was shown live on Sky, which listed it as a Premier League fixture on 8 November 2026. Ipswich will need to find a way to stop the kind of early goal that set the tone here, while Bournemouth will be pleased their scorers are spreading the load. Evanilson's drought is over, and that may be the most useful thing the visitors took home.
