Family Guy's Halloween and Holiday specials are coming back to Hulu for a third straight year in 2026, and this time the Devil has a familiar face.

Kieran Culkin, known for playing Roman Roy on Succession, will guest star in the Halloween special as the Devil. A first-look image of Culkin's animated character was released at the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel on 25 July 2026, where showrunner and executive producer Rich Appel made the announcement alongside cast members Alex Borstein, Arif Zahir, and Jennifer Tilly, plus co-executive producer and supervising director Peter Shin (Deadline; The Futon Critic).

The Halloween special is titled Happy Hell-o-ween. In it, Brian and Stewie find themselves in Hell, paying for 24 seasons' worth of bad behaviour. Things go sideways when they annoy the Devil and somehow end up in charge. The Holiday special, The Peter Clause, sees Peter and the guys compete to become Quahog's official Santa — and Peter loses (Deadline).

Both specials will stream exclusively on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in most international markets (Deadline).

For fans, this means another year of standalone seasonal episodes sitting alongside the regular series run — and a growing roster of Fox animated titles producing exclusive streaming content. The Simpsons and Family Guy have been releasing exclusive episodes for Disney+ and Hulu for the past couple of years. Now Bob's Burgers is joining them, with a holiday short set for Hulu in 2026. All three shows are produced by Fox Television Animation (Deadline).

Meanwhile, the main series is on a longer runway. Season 25 of Family Guy returns to Fox in midseason 2027 — meaning the first half of the calendar year — and will stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S. (Deadline).

So the specials land well before the new season arrives. They give Hulu fresh animated event programming in the final quarter of 2026, and they give Family Guy fans something to watch while the mothership series sits between cycles. And Culkin voicing the Devil — after an Emmy-winning turn as the most caustic sibling on premium cable — is the kind of casting that gets people to click on a press release they might otherwise scroll past.

The panel itself was a packed affair at Comic-Con, one of the annual fixtures where networks and streamers trot out their animated lineups for fans. Appel shared the stage with the voices behind some of the show's most recognisable characters: Borstein (Lois), Zahir (Cleveland), and Tilly (Bonnie). Shin, who oversees the show's animation direction, rounded out the panel (Deadline; Collider).

No air dates for the specials have been announced yet. Given the titles, expect Happy Hell-o-ween in October and The Peter Clause closer to December.
